Interested in a Mentorship Program?

We are now offering a mentoring program to birth doulas seeking certification. This program sprang forth from our recognition of intern doulas desiring mentorship during their process of becoming certified.  This is a dynamic, supportive program for doulas in training who have initiated their doula education with a qualified organization.  Our Mentoring program is designed to offer vital components for building skills, knowledge, and confidence. Mentorship provides the valuable support of experienced companionship as intern doulas learn the many aspects of this important work.


The Certified Doulas in New Creation Doulas, LLC support and mentor interns through their prenatal visits, labor and birth support experiences, and postpartum home visits, while also being available for questions and assistance throughout.  Every member of New Creation Doulas offers knowledge, support, and community to the interns.  The mentor doulas provide experienced guidance to interns during client prenatal consultations, labor and birth support, and postpartum home support.  Our certified doulas are available as resources and teachers to new doulas as they learn the valuable skills necessary for certification.


Mentor Program cost is $100. 
Responsibilities of the Interns as well as services included for this cost are listed below.


Intern doulas agree to:
•Provide proof of having attended a doula training workshop from a qualified organization
•Provide proof of having observed a 12-hour Childbirth Preparation series (not as an expectant parent) or "Introduction to Childbearing" class offered in conjunction with an approved birth doula workshop
•Provide complete doula services, under our mentor supervision, to each assigned client; including prenatal visits, labor and birth support, and postpartum home support Work with her mentor to identify other areas where more education, experience and/or training will make her certification complete

The New Creation Doulas Mentor Program agrees to:
•Ongoing support, education and counsel regarding your training as a doula
•Observation of a minimum of one free client consultation, two initial prenatal visits and one postpartum visit
•Observation of one client’s birth
•Support the intern during a client’s labor
•Any referrals of clients who may seek reduced rate service
