Birth Doula Role
A doula is a trusted, supportive companion whose experience in childbirth and the postpartum period aids in the important role of nurturing women and their families during their transition to parenthood.
A Birth Doula provides non-medical, physical and emotional support, along with educational and resource assistance. Her goal is to help women have safe and satisfying birth experiences, as defined by each individual woman.
We offer a free initial consultation with one of our doula teams. This provides an opportunity to meet, answer any questions you may have and see if New Creation Doulas has the right team to meet your birthing needs.
Our Birth Doula Package Includes:
- A doula team
- Two prenatal meetings
- Help creating a Birth Plan
- Discovery of your pain coping skills
- Use of a birth ball (upon availability)
- Unlimited availability to answer questions by phone or email
- 24 hour on-call services for your birth
- Continuous labor support
- Initial breastfeeding support & referrals, as needed
- One postpartum visit
- Typewritten birth notes
- Photos (as desired)

Postpartum Doula Role
A Postpartum Doula provides non-medical support, companionship and is present to nurture the family during one of the most exciting times in their lives. She strives to assist parents in their new roles. As the parents knowledge and self-confidence grow, their needs for professional support should diminish. Her goal is to mother the mother and recognize the sacredness of the relationships in the family unit.

Our Postpartum Doula Package Includes:
- Provides physical (non-medical), emotional & informational support
- Offers education, companionship and assistance with family adjustments Assists with newborn care (ie: diapering, bathing, soothing, etc.
- Household and nursery Organization
- Light meal preparation
- Light household tidying such as dishes and laundry (will put away baby’s laundry)
- Willingness to accompany Mom on outings such as to the doctor's office
- Can run errands for the family such as to the grocery store or pharmacy
- Offers evidence-based information on appropriat developmental milestones,infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents and
- Makes appropriate referrals when necessary
